Choir
Who are we?
St Thomas's choir is a group of around 25 friendly individuals who work together as a team to lead the singing in church. We are a mixed choir of adults and children with a minimum age limit of 7/8.
What do we sing?
We usually sing in 4 parts and in many different styles - from early to modern music - and have a constantly changing repertoire. We sing anthems once a month and on special occasions. Special occasions will include feast days in the Christian calendar, weddings and an occasional concert.
When do we meet?
We practice once a week and our aim is to have a full choir at our main Sunday service each week.
Is it fun?
Well it must be because everyone keeps coming!
We have a Christmas party and Summer Fun day which are for all and the adults bring their partners and get together for less strenuous entertainment such as wining and dining. We occasionally go to a local play (adults and children) it literally depends on what is on in our area.
Is it for me and/or my family?
New members of any age do not need to have had any previous experience as training is ongoing. If you enjoy music and would like to have a go at singing then do come to a few rehearsals and try us out.
Anything else?
We can assure any aspiring members of the warmest of welcomes.
Membership is free and robes are provided.

Sunday
School
St. Thomas Sunday School welcomes all children, toddlers to teens to join them every Sunday morning.
We learn about God and his world through stories, videos, games and crafts. Our aim is to teach Christian values and lead children to trust and walk with their heavenly father.
Sunday School is about fun too; we have trips, go bowling, go to the pantomine and have parties. We participate fully in the life of the church, taking part in our special services such as our nativity play at Christmas. Parents are very welcome to stay and refreshments are provided for all.
Today, as never before, our children face the dangers and temptations of a changing world: Your children need Sunday School and we are waiting to welcome you.

Post
Confirmation Club
The Post-Confirmation Club meets regularly..
The club is open to all children who were confirmed at St. Thomas’ from 2002 onwards, and is a way of keeping them connected with St. Thomas’ Church.
We do lots of social activities, go on trips like bowling and ice-skating, have parties, BBQ’s and sleepovers.
The children of the club do drama presentations in church and are encouraged to make their communion regularly.
The children are kept in contact with the club through a newsletter that is sent out twice a year which tells them when we are meeting and what activities we have planned.
